Delightful dancing

I have decided that today’s post shall focus on the delights of dancing and how this most favourite and critical (to society) pastime has been portrayed in painting throughout the ages.

Enjoy a waltz through a sparkling selection of dance!

The dancer in this painting is almost exactly the same as the one in the painting above.

This isn’t really a picture of dancing as such, but I thought it rather amusing.

Again, not really dancing but just look at all those dresses! It might interest you to know that this was Buckingham Palace Ballroom on 17th June 1856.
